5mm Rimfire – Live Hunt Report – Bakersfield, CA

I got up at 4:00am this morning so I could get up to an area that is legal to shoot the 5mm Rimfire at Ground Squirrels.  Most shots were within 75 yards and I only missed twice!    I was using the Centurion Varmint ammunition in my Remington Model 591.

Here’s a hunt report from this past weekend’s Rabbit Hunt put-together by one of the guy’s on a California shooting board I frequent: I headed out early to miss Los Angeles traffic and wanted to get to the hunting area with time to spare for sighting-in and hunting some Cottontail and Black-tail Jackrabbits.
